Sorry, but there are no Macs around. I'm really looking for some DOS app,
like the Ether Sniffer you mentioned.

I study CS at a very weird school. Weird means real slow IP connections
and no mail/news. Until the end of '94 it wasn't possible to do
international ftp and that really annoyed me. Sometime during the last
summer I discovered Winsock and its helpers and I played a bit with the
gopher. Well, finally I found a German gopher that allowed me to do an ftp
session to anywhere in the world so I had this problem solved.
