writing a finger client in 5 lines of shell script for a machine which
had none.. I've lost it because they weren't being malicious, just
hadn't got round to it yet....but how about
for i in $@; do

if [ "$NAME" = "$HOST" ]; then finger $NAME; else
echo $NAME | telnet $HOST finger; fi
done
oh, okay it's a bit sqeezed in five lines.. I'm sure it could be
shorter...
