Funny, I've never seen a vertical case that the mounting holes were
"right-side up".  The reason behind this is that those little plastic
dealies are not made to hold the motherboard in place, but to secure it from
moving up and down.  Most cases that I have used have two small
"copper"-colored screws and two flathead screws that screw into
the first,
which are made to secure the motherboard.  Not much of a hack, but a bit
more secure than Q-Tips(tm) and electrical tape.

Making it several hundred miles later today in a '81 station wagon in which
the engine fan *refuses* to come on.

On the same note, I replaced the antenna on the car without removing
anything.  Not that much of a hack, but then again, I'm not much of a car
hacker. :)
